The following is a list of documents which need to be provided for compliance with code and to start a project. If a document is unavailable but pertaining to the equipment being inspected, please advise ENEFEN, as it may affect the ability to finalize your project. We can partner with you to assist in completing documentation upon request.
Description of any hazardous condition which may affect this appliance or its installation.
As-built fuel train Process and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) specific to this project.
As-built fuel train Bill of Materials (BOM) or component data sheets showing the model number, manufacturer, construction, materials, ratings and certification of each relevant component and its tag number referenced on the other drawings and on the physical component.
Wiring Diagram of appliance BMS
Burner management system specification
Operating narrative, shutdown key/cause and effect diagram, ladder logic, installation and operation manual or other suitable description of appliance operation.
Specification of electrical area classification (in compliance with Alberta Oil & Gas Electrical Code), appliance and instrument venting to a safe location, and overpressure protection of the fuel train.
Commissioning/combustion report with equipment/permissive set-points and stack readings at maximum fire. If only stack readings are available, provide current burner orifice size.
For a portable/movable appliance, a set-up procedure to be followed by the installer or operator upon arrival at each site, including a range of elevations where the appliance can be safely operated.
For an appliance approved for use with different fuels, a switch-over procedure to be followed by the operator upon switching to another fuel without exceeding the maximum rating of the appliance.
Advise ENEFEN immediately of any changes to appliance information, site conditions,
2) Any gas-fired equipment installed under a previous Variance (VAR-GAS-04-04 or VAR-GAS-05-05) or under the current oil and gas Variance shall be deemed compliant provided an engineering documentation package is available that provides evidence of compliance and the equipment is equipped with a compliant rating plate.
As stated in the previous Variances, the gas-fired process equipment needs to display a valid and permanent label (rating plate) and the equipment is documented with an Engineering Report describing the engineered design and stating the operational and safety characteristics of the equipment.
The rating plate shall have the following information (as a minimum): a) Manufacturer’s or vendors name b) appliance type and identification number c) electrical specifications d) type of fuel(s) e) maximum input rating in Btuh (kW) and design altitude in ft (m) f) Inlet pressure in psig (kPag) at the point of connection (maximum allowable) g) Minimum and maximum burner manifold fuel pressure
