Do I need permits if Enefen is going to do the Field Approval on our gas-fired appliances?
Province of Alberta Safety Codes Act Permit Regulation 204/2007 with amendments up to and including 40/2012 states the following: Part 1 Permits
Permit not required 4 A permit is not required for (a) an undertaking that a body accredited by the Standards Council of Canada has inspected pursuant to the body’s terms of accreditation and has certified;
ENEFEN is the first and only Standards Council of Canada accredited Inspection Body for field approvals of commercial and industrial gas-fired appliances and equipment. Enefen is accredited to CAN-P-1608:2013 Appendix C, ISO-IEC 17020-2012 and Type C Inspection Body providing both DESIGN and INSPECTION services.
