What does CSA B149 say about multiple burner designs?
When it comes to multiple burners, the key aspect of the CSA B149.3-10 is the type of the flame safeguard logic.
MBFSG - Multiple Burner Flame Safeguard is a design in which all burners must start at once and if one of them trips or is shut down, all the other burners must trip with it at the same time. There is no option under this design to keep running, for example, if only 2 burners trip. It is either ALL burners or NONE.
IBFSG - Individual Burner Flame Safeguard is a design in which any burner can be started individually, and if one burner trips or is shut down, the other burners keep running.
